Bottle Ballot Rules
The Promoter
- The promoter of The Aberlour 18 Year Old 2007 Vintage, First Fill American Oak Barrel 70cl (“The Aberlour 18 Year Old 2007 Vintage’’) ballot (the “Ballot “) is Chivas Brothers Limited, a company registered in Scotland and with a registered address at Kilmalid, Stirling Road, Dumbarton, Scotland, G82 2SS (“Chivas”).
- These ballot rules set out the terms and conditions governing the Ballot (the “Ballot Rules“).
Ballot Rules
- By taking part in the Ballot, entrants confirm their full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Ballot Rules. Any breach of these Ballot Rules by an entrant, as determined by Chivas, will result in the disqualification of the entrant.
3. Chivas reserves the right to add to, amend or waive any of these Ballot Rules from time to time, without prior notice. Chivas also reserves in its absolute discretion, the right to cancel or amend the Ballot in the event of circumstances arising outside of Chivas’s control. Any modification of the Ballot Rules will be effective immediately and will be notified by email as soon as possible thereafter.
Ballot Purpose
- Chivas is giving the opportunity to purchase up to two bottle(s) of The Aberlour 18 Year Old 2007 Vintage, First Fill American Oak Barrel 70cl Chivas is holding the Ballot to select the members who will be given the opportunity to purchase these bottles on the terms and conditions set out in these Ballot Rules.
Eligibility
5. The Ballot is open to entrants who are resident in locations (the “Permitted Jurisdictions“) where the following are legal:
5.1. the Ballot (governed by English law in accordance with these Ballot Rules);
5.2. alcoholic beverage sales; and
5.3. alcoholic beverage promotion, advertising and sponsorship.
6. To participate in the Ballot you must:
6.1. must be at least eighteen years old at the date of entry and must be of legal drinking age in their country of residence;
6.2. have access to the internet;
6.3. have a postal address in the Territory or have permission for the Bottle(s) to be shipped to a postal address in the Territory; and
6.4. be able to provide an email address and contact telephone number which will enable you to be to contacted by Chivas in accordance with these Ballot Rules.
7. The following are not eligible to participate in the Ballot:
7.1. employees of Chivas or any of its affiliates;
7.2. any persons professionally connected with the Ballot; and
7.3. government and public officials,

8. In entering the Ballot, entrants confirm that they are eligible to enter the Ballot. Chivas reserves the right to require entrants to provide proof that they are eligible to enter the Ballot. Entrants’ age will be verifiable by birth certificate, passport or driver’s licence only. Entrants’ residency will be verifiable by utility bill only, issued within the previous six months.
9. Determination of eligibility is at the sole discretion of Chivas. Chivas reserves the right to disqualify any entrant that does not comply with these Ballot Rules.

10. Chivas is offering successful entrants of the Ballot the opportunity to purchase up to two bottles of The Aberlour 18 Year Old 2007 Vintage, First Fill American Oak Barrel 70cl from a limited allocation of 438 bottles, at a price of £180 per bottle.
11. All listed purchase prices are inclusive of United Kingdom VAT.
12. Shipping of the bottle(s) of The Aberlour 18 Year Old 2007 Vintage, First Fill American Oak Barrel 70cl to the successful entrants is available only within United Kingdom, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guernsey, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Jersey, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Slovenia, Switzerland (the “Territory”).
13. Bottle(s) of The Aberlour 18 Year Old 2007 Vintage, First Fill American Oak Barrel 70cl purchased for delivery outside United Kingdom may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied when the delivery reaches the delivery destination. Purchasers of The Aberlour 18 Year Old 2007 Vintage, First Fill American Oak Barrel 70cl will be responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes. Please note that Chivas has no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount. 14. The opportunity to purchase up to two bottles of The Aberlour 18 Year Old 2007 Vintage, First Fill American Oak Barrel 70cl is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative.
15. Successful entrants must pay all other costs which may be associated with the Ballot which are not specifically included in the purchase price (excluding delivery fees which are free of charge), in line with the provisions of Clause 13 above.
How to Enter
16. To be eligible for the Ballot you must either:
16.1 already be on our mailing list and receive an email from us and visit our website (follow the link provided to register for the Ballot and accept these Ballot Rules); or
16.2 follow the links on our socials, banners and website, to register for the Ballot on the Ballot landing page at: https://www.aberlour.com/en/aberlour-18-year-old-2007-vintage-draw/ and accept these, Ballot Rules.
17. Entry to the Ballot will open on [29th May] at [5:00PM] (UK local time) and will close on [7th June] at [11:59PM] (UK local time). Entries received outside this time, or which are incomplete, will not be considered.
18. Only one entry per person is permitted for the Ballot. If more than one entry is received from the same person all such further entries will be disqualified and only the first entry will be accepted.
19. No payment or purchase is necessary to enter or succeed in the Ballot. A payment or purchase will not improve your chances of succeeding.
20. By entering the Ballot eligible entrants agree that if successfully drawn, the successful entrant will be required to pay for and purchase up to two bottle(s) of The Aberlour 18 Year Old 2007 Vintage, First Fill American Oak Barrel 70cl and shall only receive up to two bottle(s) once the order and payment has been completed in accordance with these Ballot Rules.
21. There is no requirement for entrants to ‘follow’ or ‘like’ Chivas on social media to enter the Ballot.
Selection of Winners
22. Successful entrants will be randomly selected out of all valid entries received. The selection will be conducted electronically via computer programme on [10th June] at [12:00pm] (UK local time) for the first draw. Successful entrants will be notified by email on the 16th June at 12:00pm (UK local time) for the second draw, and successful entrants will be notified on the 23rd June at 12:00pm (UK local time) for the third draw.
23. Entries may be subject to a review at any time for eligibility and compliance with these Ballot Rules.
24. The successful entrants shall be the individuals who submitted the selected entries.
25. Entries cannot be made on behalf of another person.
26. Chivas is not responsible for:
26.1 late, incomplete, or misdirected entries, responses, or other correspondence; or
26.2 phone, electrical, network, computer, hardware, software program or transmission malfunctions, failures or difficulties.
27. Successful entrants (the “Successful Applicant”) will be notified by email on [10th June] at [12:00pm] (UK local time) (unsuccessful entrants will not be notified) for the first draw. Successful entrants will be notified by email on the 16th June at 12:00pm (UK local time) for the second draw, and successful entrants will be notified by email on the 23rd June at 12:00pm (UK local time) for the third draw.
28. To receive up to two Bottle(s) each Successful Applicant must use the unique code provided in the notification email to complete the purchase of up to two Bottle(s) on the Aberlour Distillery online shop at [link to product page) in line with the dates and timings set out under Clause 29, below.
29. Payment for the first draw must be completed between Wednesday 10th June 2026 at 12:00pm (UK local time) and Monday 15th June 2026 at 11:59pm (UK local time). Payment for the second draw must be completed between 16th June at 12:00pm (UK local time) and Monday 22nd June at 11:59pm (UK local time). Payment for the third draw must be completed between 23rd June Monday at 12:00pm (UK local time) and 29th June at 11:59PM (UK local time).
30. If the successful entrant fails to respond to or fails to fulfil the requirements detailed by Chivas in the notification email within the given timeframe, or they reject the chance to purchase up to two Bottle(s), they will be disqualified, the chance forfeited and an alternative entrant shall be selected in the same manner as the original entrant in a second ballot draw to take place on [16th June] which will cover any unclaimed Bottle(s) from the original ballot draw and only for unsuccessful applicants of the first ballot draw, in line with these Ballot Rules. In this instance second round winners will be notified on the [16th June] at [12:00pm] (UK local time) and will have seven days to make their purchase, in accordance with Clause 29.
31. If any Bottle(s) remain unclaimed after the second ballot draw, a third ballot draw may take place on [23rd June] and only for unsuccessful applicants of the second ballot draw, in line with these Ballot Rules. In this instance third round winners will be notified on the [23rd June] at [12:00pm] (UK local time) and will have seven days to make their purchase, in accordance with Clause 29.
32. Any remaining stock may be made available separately through retail channels, at Chivas’ commercial discretion and in accordance with its usual retail practices.
33. If any of the successful entrant’s entry is invalid, ineligible or in breach of these Ballot Rules, the successful entrant’s opportunity to purchase up to two bottle(s) of The Aberlour 18 Year Old 2007 Vintage, First Fill American Oak Barrel 70cl will be forfeited.
34. By taking part in the Ballot, entrants agree to sign any documentation as may be requested by Chivas relating to the Ballot including, but not limited to, a waiver of liability release in favour of Chivas and such other persons as may be determined by Chivas.
35. Chivas does not accept any responsibility if the selected entrant is not able to take up the opportunity to purchase the bottle of The Aberlour 18 Year Old 2007 Vintage, First Fill American Oak Barrel 70cl.
Purchase of The Aberlour 18 Year Old 2007 Vintage, First Fill American Oak Barrels 70cl
36. The Successful Applicants of the Promotion shall each be given the chance to purchase up to two bottles of The Aberlour 18 Year Old 2007 Vintage, First Fill American Oak Barrel 70cl. Each Successful Applicant must use the unique code from the notification email to complete the purchase of up to two bottles of The Aberlour 18 Year Old 2007 Vintage, First Fill American Oak Barrel 70cl via the online shop at https://www.aberlour.com/en/our-whisky/aberlour-18-year-old-2007-vintage/, in accordance with the process set out above.
37. The purchase price shall be paid by credit/debit card and through the purchase platform only.
38. Purchases will be made via the shop operated by Mail Marketing (UK) Limited, a company registered in Scotland with company number SC171868 and with a registered office at 42 Methil Street, Glasgow, Scotland G14 0SZ and any order placed with them will be subject to the terms and conditions displayed and linked on the Terms of Use – Aberlour.
39. As noted under Clause 13 of these Ballot Rules, bottle(s) of The Aberlour 18 Year Old 2007 Vintage, First Fill American Oak Barrel 70cl purchased for delivery outside United Kingdom may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied when the delivery reaches the delivery destination. Purchasers of The Aberlour 18 Year Old 2007 Vintage, First Fill American Oak Barrel 70cl will be responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes. Please note that Chivas has no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount. Entrants should contact their local customs office for further information participating in the Ballot.
40. Successful entrants must pay all other costs which may be associated with the Ballot which are not specifically included in the purchase price, (excluding delivery fees which are free of charge), in line with Clause 13 of these Ballot Rules.
Data Protection:
41. For the purposes of data protection laws, Chivas is the data controller of personal data provided when entering into the Ballot. Personal data collected for the Ballot will only be used for administration of the Ballot, which includes verifying the entries and post-Ballot publicity for successful entrants, and will be deleted immediately thereafter. We will share personal data with our third party agencies for the purpose of administration of the Ballot. All personal data collected in relation to the Ballot will be processed in accordance with Chivas’s Privacy Policy (available at Corporate-Privacy-Policy-CBL-CBIL-14-Aug-2023.pdf) and any other privacy policy notified during the entry process ([Single Privacy Policy – CBL Legal Pages) in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Personal data previously provided by entrants when signing up to our applicable mailing lists will be continue to be processed for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy.
42. Because of the international nature of the Ballot, the personal data that you submit with your entry may, subject to applicable law, be transferred internationally to other entities of the Pernod Ricard Group in order to administer the Ballot. Chivas may transfer information that entrants send to Chivas including, without limitation, personal data, to countries that do not provide the same level of legal data protection as the country in which an entrant resides and from which that entrant provided his or her entry. Chivas will carry out any such transfer in accordance with applicable data privacy laws.
43. Entrants have several rights in relation to their personal data. Entrants have a right to:
• access a copy of their personal data held by Chivas;
• request rectification of their personal data if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
• request erasure of their personal data in certain circumstances;
• restrict our use of their personal data in certain circumstances;
• move (or port) personal data which is automated in certain circumstances;
• object to the processing of their data where our legal basis for processing their data is our legitimate interests;
• not to be subject to a decision based on automated processing including profiling which has legal or similar significant effects; and
• lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (if an entrant is unhappy with how their personal data is being handled).

Other provisions:
45. Chivas is committed to compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and ethics rules. These Ballot Rules are intended to ensure that entrants will not violate any such laws, regulations, policies or rules. Chivas seeks no promises or favouritism for itself or any of its affiliates in exchange for an entrant’s participation in the Ballot. By entering the Ballot each entrant:
• must be over the age of 18 or the relevant drinking age of their home country;
• confirms that they are eligible to do so;
• confirms that they are resident in a Permitted Jurisdiction;
• confirms that they are not employed or otherwise come within one of the Excluded Categories;
• agrees that their participation in the Ballot, including their purchase of any bottle(s) of The Aberlour 18 Year Old 2007 Vintage, First Fill American Oak Barrel 70cl will not violate any relevant law, regulation, policy or rule; and
• certifies that any potential purchase, or opportunity to purchase, any bottle(s) of The Aberlour 18 Year Old 2007 Vintage, First Fill American Oak Barrel 70cl is not in exchange for an agreement to influence a recent, pending or anticipated act or decision that may result in Chivas or any of its affiliates obtaining or retaining business or a business advantage.
46. Chivas will have no responsibility for failure or delays on receiving an entry or providing a notification to any successful entrant, where such failure is due to circumstances outside Chivas’s control.

48. The Ballot and these Ballot Rules are governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
49. Chivas’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the Ballot will be final and binding.
