We are taking care of our local area and our resources, at Chivas brothers, we are a proud supporter of ‘The River Within’.
A long-term programme in partnership with three Scottish river trusts to support the delivery of habitat restoration projects to ultimately preserve, protect and improve the health of some of Scotland’s iconic rivers.
Aberlour is a proud supporter of the active habitat restoration projects of these three River Trusts in Scotland;
- The Deveron, Bogie and Isla Rivers Charitable Trust
- Findhorn, Nairn and Lossie Rivers Trust
- The Spey Catchment Initiative
The Deveron Bogie and River
The Deveron Bogie and River trust are removing an obsolete historical weir to let fish swim upstream to spawn, improve habitat connectivity and let the river flow freely.
The Findhorn, Nairn and Lossie Rivers Trust
The Findhorn, Nairn and Lossie Rivers Trust’s Balnespick project are erecting fencing to prevent livestock grazing and allow vegetation to recover.
The Spey Catchment Initiative
The Spey Catchment Initiative are planting circa 1,000 native trees in Speyside along 800m of the Crombie Burn to provide shade to help cool the water, helping fish thrive and to stabilise the riverbanks reducing erosion and the risk of flooding.

OUR PACKAGING
Our packaging reflects profound connectivity to the natural landscape surrounding the distillery.
The colour palette is warm and earthy, and the label features a dominant oak tree over water. The water signifies the fluidity of the River Lour, which neighbours the Aberlour distillery.
True to our ethos of progressive craft, the evolved design has been developed with resource-efficiency in mind, including a recyclable presentation canister and a 16% reduction in the glass bottle weight from the previous bottle design.
Whilst the presentation of the whisky has been refreshed, the expertly crafted single malt within remains the same – rich, complex and balanced as ever.
