For nearly 150 years, we’ve honed our craft, always looking for new ways to improve, developing our expertise, mastering our craft. It’s this deep knowledge and understanding that allows us to pair our new make liquid with the perfect casks to produce something exquisitely special. Our award-winning whisky, aged in personally selected sherry and American oak casks, has a complexity and sophistication that’s truly unique.
Ours is a process of quiet diligence and devotion, pursued over many years since our founder, James Fleming, established the Aberlour distillery in 1879. To this day, we adhere to his philosophy: “Let the deed show”. And it’s how we measure progress, drop by drop.

THE MOUTH OF THE CHATTERING BURN 53 YEARS OLD
Aberlour is proud to debut their oldest treasure ever released, The Mouth of the Chattering Burn. A remarkable 53 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky, distilled in 1967 and matured for over half a century in a single cask, encased in a handcrafted vessel, and paired with its original mould. Named after the Gaelic meaning of Aberlour, ‘The Mouth of the Chattering Burn’ is presented in a handblown magnum glass decanter, crafted by renowned Swedish master glassblower Micke Johansson in collaboration with master mould-maker Gunnar Englund, with intricate carvings on its surface by glass artist Simon Holm. The decanter is presented on a bespoke presentation display that repurposes the original hand-carved tree mould it was created in. A true one of one, never to be repeated. Created for the Distillers’ One of One Charity Auction.
