Aberlour Special Reserve is a unique and intense
malt whisky, matured only in Oloroso Sherry casks. Bottled at
the unusual strength of 45% ABV it gives the whisky a greater
aromatic concentration and intensity versus standard 40% ABV bottling.
Our Distillery Director, Douglas Cruickshank, selected
a mix of first fill and second fill sherry butts to achieve a
powerful but complex multi-dimensional whisky.
Only 40 casks were bottled for the French market
and we managed to secure the last 500 bottles for our Aberlour
lovers available only through our website.

Appearance
Rich gold amber.
Taste
Full bodied, with a strong sherry signature. Powerful
with round texture revealing spicy orange and marmalade
like flavors.
Nose
Complex notes of gingerbread and fruits with intense
sherry and spicy character. It develops into oaky (burnt
wood) and candy fruits notes.
Finish
Long and warming with hints of hazelnuts.
