Bishbarmak (Outstanding Entry)
"Bishbarmak is the national dish of Kazakhstan. Kazakhs were traditionally nomadic, and one important element of their diet was horse meat. Bishbarmak has now developed into THE traditional dish of Kazakhstan. It consists of boiled potatoes, large flat homemade noodles, onions and horsemeat. Alternatively, in lieu of or in addition to horsemeat, sometimes fresh lamb and/or beef are used. Delicious!"
