Het Kompass - Texel
This small, traditional and immaculately run
bar on an island off the Dutch coast is reputed to have the largest
selection of malts in Northern Europe - around 1,000 drinking
whiskies. Cosy and idiosyncratic, the plain food, made from local
produce, is exemplary. Well worth the short ferry ride to Texel.
