Introducing this very special limited edition of Aberlour bottled exclusively for Aelia, selected by Douglas Cruickshank, Master Distiller of the Aberlour distillery and Aelia’s Senior Liquor buyer, Philippe Lanusse.
This single cask bottling was matured in an American Oak barrel, Cask no 4581. The cask was originally filled on 29th May 1975 and has carefully matured for 31 years, developing a rich, multi-layered character.
The colour is deep gold with a nose that is an enticing confection of gentle creamy lemon aromas that reveal a hint of cinnamon.
The taste is a delicious balance of fruit and wood notes; soft citrus oakiness with hints of fruit and dried spice to finish. A long, velvet finish with a perfect conjunction of fruit and spice flavours.
Only 96 bottles will be available at Aelia’s stores in Paris Charles de Gaulle and Nice airports from June 2008.
